Hired My Self

You see all sorts of ads to make a zillion dollars on the Internet, just buy this ebook etc and am sure you have been tempted and looked at those.

Been in the Internet publishing business from the day it started almost and am still no expert. However, I know it is now the thing you have to know or use to start most any business and get it going in a hurry with no, money, or practically no money. At least nothing compared to what you used to have to do to start a business.

So look at the Internet as replacement for these expensive things you used to have to do to start a business, and most if it did not work you lost it all.

1. Used to have to have a "real" store, office, shop etc location, an address they could come and see you were real, and whether you were a "real" operator or just a person with a phone number. Helpful but no longer key.

2. You used to have to wait for the new phone book to come out and you used to have to have a $100 a month or more ad in the phone book to get any business. The Internet out does the phone book and does it for free. Gets better all the time.

3. Used to have to use newspaper and periodical advertising that cost a bundle and when you needed business it didn't work. Took days from insertion to out and working. Things changed in that time.

Currently you can get on Craig's list and get results in 15 minutes ( and similar sites) all for free. Also other places to advertise for a fee, no results no pay,

4. An example, is Google adsense. (Many other versions cheaper maybe and effective) You can learn how to do this in an hour. You can place an ad and have results in 15 min. When you are booked or overbooked you can cancel and stop all charges immediately.

The main thing is you can word your ad so ONLY a person genuinely interested clicks on your ad and you pay for the inquiry. For example, in our tourist home rental business, if we have a cancelation, or a vacancy we can't fill (like an empty airplane seat, any money generated is income you would not have other wise.) We spend say $1.00 per inquiry, (more you bid more inquires you get cause you move to higher on the list etc. We find we rent one of every 22 inquires. Therefore, a rental for hundreds of dollars lost otherwise can be filled in almost immediate reaction time. Average cost $22. All charges totally stopped the minute we book it. That's the advantage Newspaper took days and often when came out had already rented it so was total unnecessary wasted expenditure. Many businesses are based on negative costs, say it costs you $25.00 and your income from it is the $15.00 range. You lost $10. You say you can not do this very long. Yes you can, we used to advertised things that we sold for less then cost to get people in the store. You are here advertising and doing a lost leader to get customers to start doing business with you. If you retain half as a repeat or regular customer you have now established you can "buy" new customers this way for $20.00 Need 100 regular customers to be a successful business. Buy em this way. Instead of spending $2,000 a month for a store front that may or may not get you customers and you are stuck with if do not here you do this ONLY as long as it "works" . You can STOP all expenses in an instant. Man this is pure luxury compared to the way it used to be. You can try stupid stuff and lose little. In the past make one wrong guess and you were dead.

5. Next, Catalog or showroom. You had to have some way of showing your customer what you had to offer. You had to pay a lot money for printing stuff up and then pay a lot to mail it out to them and you never found the ones interested without huge costs to all the wrong ones. Now on the net you put up full color finest pictures etc you can put together and as many as needed, Description. Details about you and why good to do business with , references, testimonials of customers etc. Now your advertising efforts are to get them to look at your "on line demo catalog (your web site you can learn to do yourself for free) If you want to learn to be in business for yourself today....the first thing you need to learn is how to do a web page yourself for free....

6. You used to be limited to locality. If you had 100% of a certain type of business in your neighborhood, you still had nothing. Maybe enough to eek out a living but that was it, and best you could hope for. Now if you can figure out something that works, you can make the whole world customers. No more cost then locally except shipping and we can teach you ways around that. If you sell information you can deliver it instantly , NO shipping cost, 100% safe arrival, and no investment. You used to have to do a book for example. Pay $10,000 for printing, fill your garage and pray you could sell enough even to get your money back. Now you can do one in two weeks, try selling it on line and if doesn't work almost nothing lost, if a success can be huge success overnight. You have that possibility with almost any idea or business if you expand it by cutting other people in on doing business and you can do it all on the net for almost free or little or no investment. Your possibility if you figure out a new niche is almost limitless. It can be duplicated a hundred fold overnight.

7. You can sell and handle big money items and never touch them, never ship them, etc Do it all with a web site and phone number.

Simply find something being lost if not sold in a certain time frame. Of overrun from a factory, etc.

Example, semi truck people get a load from Denver, to L.A. They are coming back to Denver cause next week they have a load from Denver to New York. Now that semi trailer coming back from L.A. empty is a total waste. If you can find a load from L.A. to anywhere on the way to Denver or even beyond etc. that trucker would gladly pay you a big per centage. You never touch anything other then get the customer in contact with the trucker. There are many people that have learned to do this, and have regular customers they get smoking deals on freight for cause they know how to find trucks going back empty. Everybody is happy and they get a big cut, no investment, no store, nothing but phone number and web site. Just an illustration.

8. The customer (in any start up)_is the only thing of value. All the rest is details. You are developing customers, that trust you to fill a certain need. Lots of customers, NO ASSETS needed.

Lots of people have those needed physical assets available lying around doing nothing, because they do not know how nor unable to learn how to find and develop customers. You supply the customer part of the equation and you call the shots. These Access needed will be easily supplied to you on per centage basis etc and get them on as an "as needed basis."

More on this later, but I hope I have illustrated again... Physical properties are NOT needed. Learn how to get the customers, then the rest is easy.
