The Small Business Administration has free help with information and one of the least known but most valuable it the Volunteer mentor program.
These are usually retired business people that will have some insights on business you never thought of. Their advice and help would on the outside cost you a lot of dollars. Personally have no experience with it but suggest if you are new to being in business and investing a lot of time and money they might be of help to save you going off in the wrong direction.
My thought is these were mostly manager types from big companies that never had to meet a payroll with their own money etc. We have attached some videos put together by score volunteers. Take a look, they might be helpful
Look up in your local phone book, under U.S Government section Small Business Administration. Tell them you wanted information on their SCORE volunteer mentor program, or whatever they have of interest.
Small business administration has a small business loan program for startups but not a ready supply of money. Might be easier to earn it then to get it there for a start up. But do look into the SCORE program if you need advice and counseling on the right route etc.
